Plenty of houses we look at don't need a full lift. Sometimes it's three piles and a bearer. We'd rather quote the small job honestly and be the ones you call in ten years.
- Every job starts with data. Laser levels across the whole floor plate, photographed subfloor inspection, written findings.
- Engineer-designed where it matters. Structural work is designed and signed off, not guessed at.
- You stay in the house where possible. Most re-levelling jobs are done with services connected and the family still living in.

Before you call
How do I know if my floors are actually out of level?
The usual tells are doors and windows that stick or swing open on their own, gaps opening at skirtings or where walls meet ceilings, a marble that always rolls the same way, and diagonal cracks from the corners of door frames. A laser level survey settles it in about an hour.
Do I have to move out?
For most re-levelling jobs, no. Services stay connected and the lift happens in small increments over several days. A full house lift is different — we'll tell you up front which one you're looking at.
Does this work need a building consent?
Often yes, particularly for a full lift, foundation replacement or anything structural. Some like-for-like pile replacement can fall under exempt work. We'll assess it and, where consent is needed, prepare and lodge the paperwork for you.
Will my insurance or EQC claim cover it?
Sometimes — it depends on the cause of the movement and your policy. Our written level survey and condition report is the document insurers usually ask for, and we're happy to provide it whether or not you use us for the repair.
How long does a job take?
A straightforward re-level with a handful of new piles is typically 3–7 working days. A full lift with new foundations runs 4–10 weeks depending on consent timeframes, ground conditions and what you're building underneath.
